Our Seed Production: Strings Attached Across the Pacific
Strings Attached Across the Pacific is a multimedia concert that invites audiences to dive deep into the Pacific Ocean and journey through a world where cultures, nature, and music converge. Featuring a unique ensemble of Korean haegeum, Chinese erhu, and Western string quartet, the program weaves Eastern and Western musical traditions into a rich and evocative soundscape. Through ocean-inspired music, integrated electronic sound design, live-responsive visuals, and immersive lighting, the concert creates an experience that transports listeners beneath the waves.
This innovative concert became the creative spark that inspired the founding of Threaded Resonance. Its centerpiece work, Calling of the Whales, continues to evolve and will be performed at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage in January 2026. This production represents the heart of our mission: interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural diversity, and storytelling through sound and multimedia artistry.
Strings Attached Across the Pacific continues to grow through new collaborations, expanded multimedia design, and touring possibilities. We look forward to bringing this interdisciplinary experience to audiences across the country and beyond.
